The Twelve Days Of Christmas (musically speaking)

Tools

Close to putting the finishing touches to my list of 78 songs that I'll be putting up over the course of the twelve days in real time in this thread as and when the time arrives, just a little fun project to keep myself amused and out of trouble

In the meantime ..... Frank Kelly (Father Jack from 'Father Ted' for those that don't know) - Christmas Countdown

Didn't make the cut:

Day #1: Bunnygrunt (1995)
Day #2: Mandolin Orange (2013)

Didn't make the cut:

Day #3: Agent 5.1 (2002)
Day #4: The Beautiful South (1996)

Good start!
I liked The Cats, The Melodians, Mandolin Orange best, and Camel took me right back - I think my husband used to like them back then.
Looking forward to the rest

Thanks - glad you liked some of them Christine. The actual ones for the 12 Days will be surprises I hope (as long as what I want to do works)

it's Christmas Eve Chyp, where's the songs??
Christmas Day is the first day of twelvetide .... so doesn't begin until tomorrow Christine

As it's Chrimbo and it's you though I'll drop a traditional Christmas Eve 'early' pressie ....

.... see if you can manage to open it

Ah right I didn't know that.
I'll prob have to catch up on Boxing Day unless I get a sneaky 5 mins to myself!
Enjoyed that little early prezzie. Sitting here doing veg prep for tomorrow it was a nice accompaniment . I usually listen to the Festival of nine lessons and carols on radio 4 but I've only known one hymn so far. What a swizz

S'ok - there's only one gift on the first day of Christmas as we all know so wouldn't be much catching up to do if you wanted to and tbh I doubt the 'partridge' will really be your cup of tea anyways - I limited myself to titles and not artists so not a great deal of choice as partridges just don't seem to be overly popular in song titles for some unknown reason

Christmas music tends to be herself's domain in this house so it trends toward the modern 'traditional' songs (Wizzard, Slade etc.).

Glad you resisted the whole bird-in-a-bird-in-a-bird-in-a-bird... affair
Same to you and yours tomorrow - hope Santy brings some really nice things to all of ye!!
xx

ON THE 1st DAY OF CHRISTMAS....
