Oh boy, 70s was so good decade for movies, it hard choose just one ; d
Godfather 1 & 2, Apocalypse now, Alien, Taxi Driver, A clockwork orange, Patton, Annie Hall, Star Wars, Chinatown, and more more...
Personally, I most often rewatch Annie Hall, and Godfather (and part.II).

American New Wave is so incredibly deep with options.

Days of Heaven
The Exorcist
Two-Lane Blacktop
Nashville
Dawn of the Dead

Outside of New Hollywood, Bertolucci's The Conformist takes the cake.

Everybody is quick to mention The Godfather and Apocalypse but...

PeterVincent, I thought Star Wars is obvious ; d
It's not as frequent as the other two, but it is a popular choice. I mainly just wanted to use the gif.
