Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
"You talkin' to me?" I've done *nothing* wrong to you, so know what? *Screw* you.
Typical dilettante.
Hey now, MM's reply was unnecessarily aggressive in my opinion too.
It was unnecessarily truthful in my opinion. He should've replied "That's great! Surely, The Hunger Games are the only masterpiece of the last 5 years!".
I hate how I always have to be so overly polite and clear so I don't get misunderstood in here...

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

You mean me? Kei's cousin?
Okay, to be honest, I was just having fun with you. I just added my favorite quote from Robert De Niro to add a layer of creepiness, keep you guessing. But honestly, it seems to me like in the '70s, '80s, and '90s, you find hundreds of good movies while within the past 5 years, you find maybe 5 or 10 at the most. I know I'm probably being a little harsh, but, hey, maybe I'm just stuck on the classics. I loved The Next Three Days, so (I think) I'm not completely lost to something new. "So, you know, try to show a little respect."

I didn't want to sound like I was attacking anybody or whatever, but I did want to address the stupidity of saying you abhor half a dacade.

If anybody wants to know I have had a sh*t day and my day is still sh*t, but I like the forums and it's a great place to zone off for a few minutes. Guess that statement just popped onto my screen at the wrong moment in the wrong day. I meant what I said but I could've said it in a 1000 other variations and I'm sorry if this one came off as "agressive" or however you might look at it.

Was my reply harsh just because I didn't end my reply with " don't worry just kidding no harm no hate all good"?

I hate how I always have to be so overly polite and clear so I don't get misunderstood in here...

Am I the only one who thought it was silly and ignorant to discard of 5 entire years of filmmaking or what? I personally think that's a weird thing to say. But anyways, I was direct not harsh. Deal with it.
I think you need to know your audience. If you said that to me it wouldn't raise an eyebrow. When someone is new you gotta ease them in to the forum culture. Just my opinion.

Yeah same here. I've gotten used to MM's style of humor so I don't even flinch when he comes off as rude or something. MM is a good dude.

I didn't know he was new before after I had already wrote it.

And I would also refer you to my previous statement.

Everything is cool MM. Hope your day gets better. Maybe a Hunger Games marathon will help.

I like MM too.....These are always good to use after making a joke
Too mainstream... I abhor mainstream stuff...

Anyways lol, it isn't too far back where people were complaining that I used too many smilies. Now I use too little. What to do man. Going crazy.

I don't know, MM, but I agree that you use too many.

Like I said, I was also having some fun. I did it that way so MM could retreat if he really didn't mean any harm like I already thought. So, is MM an *******? Maybe, but, if he is, he's my kind of *******. No hard feelings here, bud.

I love love hate relationships and I love to hate them sometimes as well. Makes sense? No? Whatever.

Anyways, YES, we wanna know: why do you like Hunger Games so much? THAT'S the real question here?

I'm going to throw in my 2 cents on the first Hunger Games movie. Fascinating concept, of course it came from a novel. The movie created a very intriguing world with it's own culture, that was the best part. The movie was exciting and yet I'm opposed to kiddie porn violence. The viewer is essentially watching kids kill each other by grisly means for cheap thrills. And we think we're so morally superior to the ancient Romans. We are the Romans.

On the one hand smileys reduce chances of misunderstanding on the other hand they reduce a joke. Smileys are complicated balancing act.

Really? I'm a die hard Russell Crowe fan and I thought the movie was pretty crap. It wasn't horrible or anything, but it was instantly forgettable.

Okay, but for now,
Jurassic Park (1993)

Safe to say this is a timeless classic I'll never get tired of or too old for.

Well, I guess I got the same kind of thrill I got from the movie above and other '90s movies while getting something completely different. Kind of why I loved The Next Three Days so much. It gave me the kind of thrill I got from The Fugitive, but instead of an innocent man trying to prove his innocence, we get a man busting his innocent wife out of prison. And the acting. The acting was great I thought, but that didn't surprise me because people are always saying actors can't act, even the greats like Harrison Ford and William Hurt. The writing. They gave us all the right reasons to hate the villains. Watching kids kill each other like it's Die Hard or Lethal Weapon? Sick, right? Makes us want the adults onscreen to die. (Talk about Children of the Corn reversed) And we got a girl that's actually likable to root for. Part of the reason I loved The Silence of the Lambs, Annie, Working Girl (all in my top ten) and Aliens so much as a kid. This girl is tough and she won't give anyone a second chance to hurt her. She's too smart to kill. Who says the good guy has to be a guy? And, for once they didn't overdo the CGI too much. Oh, yeah. I think I had a few good reasons to like it as much as I did.

And when the f*** are you polite to me.. Glowstick boy? LOL
