Spectre (Bond 24)

Directed by Sam Mendes.

Daniel Craig, Lea Seydoux and now...

Two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz will star opposite Daniel Craig in the 24th James Bond movie, according to Baz Bamigboye of the Daily Mail.
Bamigboye, who has a strong track record when it comes to the Bond series, revealed the casting yesterday via Twitter. In a followup article in today’s Daily Mail he reports the Austrian actor will play Bond’s nemesis, but also suggests the role is not an out-and-out villain. “It’s not immediately evident whether the part’s friend, or foe, or a bit of both,” according to a production source.

Bamigboye also said on Twitter that the new film would shoot early next month on location in Mexico, Morocco, Austria, Italy and London. As previously reported, director Sam Mendes is to return following the $1bn success of 2012 outing Skyfall, which saw Daniel Craig in his third outing as the suave British secret agent.

Variety reported in April that 12 Years a Slave’s Chiwetel Ejiofor was being sought to play the next James Bond villain, casting which now appears unlikely. However, it was previously confirmed that Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris are due to return as the new M, Q and Moneypenny respectively.

Bamigboye announced in October that Léa Seydoux, the French star of Cannes smash Blue Is the Warmest Colour, has also been added to the cast of Bond 24. Rory Kinnear will reprise his role as MI6 chief of staff Bill Tanner from Skyfall and Quantum of Solace.

Christoph Waltz was pretty good in Django Unchained

Not currently on fire...
Dave Bautista cast as the henchman. Despite the title Waltz is not playing 'Blofeld' but a character called Oberhause.

Mr Hinx lool what a name.

I'm not really a fan of the Bond series beyond Craig so has Spectre been around before?

Thread renamed to reflect the release of the new title and poster:

I thought that the "Quantum" organization was filling the role of Spectre in the new Bond films, so this seems like an odd choice of title.

Spectre was the evil group of baddie organisations in the original novels

So, two consecutive one word titles beginning with 'S'. Seems odd to name the film after one element but I guess they are reacquainting the audience.

To me it seems odd that they're bring "Spectre" back, when I though that Quantum was the the replacement for the Spectre group in the new Bond films. I don't see the point of that.

To me that would be like if they decide to bring back Tracy Bond (even though Vesper Lind in Casino Royale) was supposed to be her replacement in the plot.

Well, they know that all the nods to the old era in Skyfall were lapped up so there is a nostalgia market for them to tap into. Apparantly they are going for a sixties feel, which makes sense as Connery is the most popular (I would say best) Bond and his films are the most praised.

Dare I say that the trailer actually looks rather good.

This is going to be amazing! Can't wait!

ooo mama i wana see this
Its gonna be so amazing, i bet they´re gonna tryhard the **** out of this movie!

Hope the film is better than the trailer; so far there seems to be too much emphasis on Bond's personal troubles and the cod-psychology involving his childhood. It will be interesting to see SPECTRE again though.

How the **** are they not using Lana Del Rey for this and like every future Bond song. She's the modern day Nancy Sinatra.
