Bringing Out The Dead and The Age of Innocence are criminally underseen (and underrated).

The Wolf of Wall Street (-1/10) - The worst movie I have ever saw in my life. Not only was this a waste of 3 hours, but I'm sure I lost three years of my life knowing effete trash like this exists. I only watched this in its entirety to show I gave it a chance. Imagine if Goodfellas was a guy, Casino was his sister, and the incest led to this "film." It even sounded like Ray Liotta was narrating. I typed a lot, though the only spoiler is this piece of junk, I'll spare the horrible details.

Mikey and Nicky - 10/10 - I needed something good and proven to cleanse my soul a bit, so I watched this for about the 4th time. It's an amazing film. Very funny and tragic. Acting is great, writing is great.

What Happened Was... 8/10 - Great story about two lonely people. Second time viewing this, probably better the first time. Dialogue-driven film.

The Wolf of Wall Street = 1/10 and a Cassavetes film gets 10/10? Quick Gunslinger don't look.

Elaine May wrote and directed that film.

And the previous rating was a -1

Just saw Cinderella... it used to be one of my favorite animation movies as a child and this version did not disappoint...it was so beautiful. Finally a Disney remake that is as good as the original and kept the magic alive. I think it deserves an Oscar for costumes design. Cate Blanchett is perfect as the stepmother and Lily James does a great Cinderella.
Rating 8/10

I noticed a lot of love for Disney's live action "Cinderella." Perhaps you should check out Jean Cocteau's work of Art from 1946 "La Belle et La Bete". None of these Hollywood films can hold a candle to it.

Even Christophe Gan's 2014 version is amazing and its nice to watch the story in its original language.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
The Wolf of Wall Street (-1/10)
I didn't like the movie neither. I give it
I've seen at least 200 worse films, though.

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

uuuuh hell yeah, I love this version of the story.

The Color of Money, Martin Scorsese.

Naaah. A big pointless mess. I mean, the idea wasn't bad, seeing how's good old Fast Eddie doing after all those years, but the execution is pretty flawed.
First of all, the characters don't make sense. Vincent starts as a cocky jerk and ends as a cocky jerk (an honest one, ok, but still a jerk), Eddie starts as meh, continues as meh ad ends as super meh. I hated the ending, seriously. "I'm back!"...really? Such a pity, it could have been a really interesting story.
BUT, who cares about the characters, right? It's a pool movie! For sure there's going to be some great build-up to a final match. Nope. Not even that. Scorsese does some cool stuff in the match scenes (there's a great shot of Paul Newman's face reflected in a ball), but it's not enough.
Also, Tom Cruise. Nope. I never liked him, never will.
Missed chance.

Check out Christophe Gan's version.. its not a work of Art as Cocteau's but just as beautiful and gives the back story of how he became the Beast.

Unconquered 6/10. I find colonial westerns an interesting oddity in cinematic history. Cecil B. DeMille's 1947 effort is pretty flat on it's delivery, a rather weak script and a thin plot stretched over 2hr and 20m run time. Still, with all that said, it's entertaining enough, and the technicolor is gorgeous. For a DvD it really looked great. I paid £11, which is slightly less than Amazon. I don't see it coming down in price anytime soon, new or used, and thus probable it will become rare. So i'm happy to have it in my collection at last.

I have Unconquered. I liked it very much but was a little long. There was Boris Karloff as an Indian chief.

But it ran just a little too long.

Not very good at all. Awful acting and a fairly weak plot only slightly recompensed by some dry, albeit almost certainly inadvertent, humour and some mild entertainment. Wouldn't recommend overall, though.
