The thing isolated becomes incomprehensible
Before Sunrise (1995)

The beggining seemed a bit unnatural: a guy is at a train, sees a girl, asks her what she's reading then invites her to have lunch on the train's restaurant and she says yes. Then, after chatting a bit and before knowing each other's names he asks her to leave the train in Vienna (she was going to Paris) and to spend a night together in the city, and again she says yes.
Why do you think this?
Because of what I explained after! Seems strange to me that a Girl falls for that!

Enemy - A- (Mind Blowing)
it's more Mind Boring than Mind Blowing if you want my opinion
Says the guy who thinks High Tension had a smart and well written twist.

A-

Brando is great, story becomes a little hokey, Bernsteins music tends to be over-the-top, but it's a really enjoyable and engaging movie.

Saw Neighbors the other night. Meh. Had some laughs in it, just another comedy that relies to heavily on sex jokes to me. Nothing innovative.

2.5/5

101 Favorite Movies (2019)

Because it's for kids and this is what kids movies look like in Hollywood.
I see. That clip I posted before is from Starcraft II, a videogame cinematic, it's a game made for young adult males and so has visuals that appeal to that demographic.

Paths of Glory

I want to start by saying, this film is better than my rating. My rating reflects how the film impacted me. It was a great story and set up, it just didn't impact me like other Kubrick films. Great movie though.

Gooble gobble, one of us!
I just saw this extraordinary film which I randomly stumbled upon "Johnny Got His Gun" (1971).

The plot: A soldier hit by a mortar shell during World War I, he loses his legs, arms, mouth, ears and eyes, but he's still alive, trapped in dreams and darkness, not knowing what is reality.

It's asociobendiful.

Has anyone seen it here?

5/5 I highly recommend it to anyone

Wings of Desire (1987)

Gorgeously shot in mostly black and white moving story of Angels over Berlin.

East of Eden (1955)

Really impressive performance from James Dean and a very strong ending.

Interstellar

I was enjoying it up until the last 20 minutes then it just lost me. Went over-complicated when I felt it could have taken a simpler route.

I guess I'd give it a 7

Certainly helped that we took alcohol into the cinema and played drinking games, because it was damn long too.

Per qualche dollaro in pìu a.k.a. For a Few Dollars More (1965)

This movie is a masterpiece! The pacing is just perfect (The Good the Bad and the Ugly's only problem was that), Lee van Cleef is an amazing addition to the cast and though the duels are not as exciting in the 2 other movies of the trilogy, it's by far the more artistically profound one!
Above this one, just Once Upon a Time in the West, IMO.

9/10

Hehe, I'm just effing with ya.
I don't know what you guys find bad about the ending of High Tension it's perfect... A f*cking sadistic schizophrenic 25 years old women with the mind of a psychopath who killed with a circular saw. Brief, a definition of a perfect ending

Chappie doesn't like the real world
If she was schizophrenic that still in no way explains how she could be in two places at the same time which would have had to occur in order for the movie make any kind of sense at all.

28 days later - 7/10. Since i'm a big fan of other Danny Boyle movies like Trainspotting, Shallow Grave or Slumdog Millionaire, i wanted more from this movie.

Casino (1995)

The direction is pretty good (though I'm not a great fan of Scorcese), the acting is amazing but it could have 1 hour less and it has waaay to much narration! The twist at the end is good and in general it's a good movies!

7/10

Interstellar.

I have mixed feelings about this film. Because the first 45 minutes or so could easily be cut down and feels like a long prologue to what is actually worth using time on. Not that it's not important to built characters, but honestly, Nolan does very little with that in Interstellar. The humans are in center of this film, but not as individuals and the few moments that does focus on that is a bit cliché without it being a major problem. But more character development could've been nice.

Also, the dialogue was pretty poor, and seemed like it wanted to sound smart without entirely being it. And when the last 30 minutes came THAT'S when the movie finally focused on what it should've earlier on, and began expanding, twisting and turning the themes. The journey there, though? -Way too long and a tad boring. It could've been sharper done throughout.

But this is defiantly a film I need to see again and dig deeper into. So I will leave this with no rating at this time. A fine movie, but the Nolan fanboys need to chill haha.

The Lego Movie (2014)

I expected The Lego Movie to be a ridiculous movie that was only released to sell more toys, but I was wrong. This is a fun adventure of a Lego minifigure who is recruited to help save the world. It's exciting, funny, and filled with cameos of some great characters.

I hope everyone who turns (or turned) in an animation list watches (or watched) this movie before submitting their list. As the song says, "Everything is Awesome!"

LEGO Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite (2013)

After watching The Lego Movie, I had to watch the superhero version of the Lego characters, LEGO Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite. I bought the DVD on Black Friday because Walmart sold it for $1.96, but I never got around to watching it, until now.

This was as good as the other Lego movie. It has action, adventure, comedy, and many of your favorite DC Comics superheroes and villains. It may be a long advertisement for the Lego toys, but this is a fun movie that's great for kids of all ages. Don't submit your animation list until you watch this movie.

All I've heard of The Lego Movie has been raves.

B+

Interesting, unusual premise (whose explanation, or lack thereof, diminishes the movie) but ultimately fails in exploring in any depth what it seems to want to. However, a very fun watch and really well acted.
