An underrated and overlooked talent. He's only directed 3 movies, but one (Seabiscuit) was nominated for Best Picture, and also he was for Best Director. He picks and chooses.

Big, Dave, and Pleasantville are superb films that I never get tired of re-watching. Every time I watch them, I discover little things in them that I have never seen before each time I watch them.
