Great job on the first page omni! it looks great and makes it easy to catch up!

Battle royale is one of my fave movies,i dont think i voted for it though,i didnt think of it as action.

i think desperado and esp hero and crouching tiger hidden dragon are waaaay too low though.

The Raid: Redemption was my 22. FANTASTIC action movie!

Seen 5 of the last 5.

My List: 7
Seen: 61/70

6. Dirty Harry
9. Desperado
13. Mad Max
15. Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
21. Demolition Man
22. The Raid: Redemption
23. Escape from New York

You guys. I seriously can't believe you put not only The Raid, but also the sequel, ahead of Dredd. The Raid is by far THE most plagiarised pile of shite next to Harry Potter.
That's extremely confusing. Do you mean "plagiarizing"? Or "plagiarized"? One means to perpetrate, the other means to be perpetrated against. And wait, Harry Potter?

I can't see that either way. There have been more instances of Harry Potter's license simply being stolen than it's ideas (and I can think of several other movies that have been heavily plundered for their ideas) and as a plagiarizER? Of what? What are you suggesting Rowling lifted it's story from?

Firstly, you can't do one thing in 2006 while doing something simultaneously in 2010 unless we're working with parallel timelines.

Secondly, you're suggesting that a movie...
released in 2012...
that was first written in 2006...
that is derived from a movie from 1995...
and shares source material with a comic book series as old as 1977...

had it's recurring idea of raiding a building stolen once by a movie studio in Thailand...

and is therefor plagiarism.

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
Raid was my #1 (sorry Rodent) and I picked it as #1 because it is the VERY epitome of omni's defining criteria for how we should make our list: We watch it for the action. And Raid #1 IS, all out, jaw-dropping action. From the very get-go to the very end.

The second to make my list is Crow at #14. I must of seen it at the movie theater when it came out somewhere around 10 times and countless times since. Quotable dialogue, great action, amazing atmosphere and a solid musical score to wrap it up nicely.

And for the honorable's; have yet to see the newest Star Wars

My List:
#1 The Raid: Redemption (33)
#7 John Wick (48)
#8 The Good, The Bad, and The Weird (Honorable)
#9 Ong Bak (Honorable)
#14 The Crow (31)
#18 A Better Tomorrow (Honorable)
#19 Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (47)
#20 Desperado (20)
#24 300 (46)

Watched: 58/65
Honorable: 29/39

Nothing good comes from staying with normal people

Couldn't say that for Raid 2. The action was still the best part but so much of that movie is soulsuckingly grim drama.

I have Iron Man at number 3 and The Rock at number 15 on my list. I ultimately could change Iron Man in my current thread for I did other films but I dont know it be much different its still in my top 5 comic book films made.

None made my list but all are fine flicks, except for the one that I mentioned before I'd seen neither of, The Raid movies.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
The Crow (1994) - Haven't seen this movie.
The Rock (1996) - Haven't seen this movie.
The Raid: Redemption (2011) - Haven't seen this movie.
Heat (1995) - Haven't seen this movie.
Iron Man (2008) - I strongly considered this movie for my list, but it was one of the final cuts, mainly because I also had a few other superhero movies on my list.

Honorable Mentions:
Collateral (2004) - Haven't seen this movie.
Inglourious Basterds (2009) - I watched this movie for one of the HoFs, and I hated it. Then I rewatched it because some people said that my rating was too harsh, but I still hated it.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) - This is a great movie, but it didn't make my list.

OPEN FLOOR.

I didn't think The Warriors would really qualify, so I didn't have that on my list.

I did, however, have Point Break, Commando and Speed at #2, #3 and #4. This is exactly the kind of films which sprung to mind when this list was announced.
