Ha! Well, fair enough, but I thought so before my husband worked there. Remember, I live in Pennsylvania, and I wasn't all THAT far from Three Mile Island when that whole fiasco went down. (And it was partly a fiasco because of the media feeding frenzy that misrepresented the entire situation at the time... and since.)

In fact, they're currently in a refueling outage, so he's working 12-hour overnight shifts six nights a week. Hoo boy!

The nuke plant here has two reactors, both from the 1970s. Before that on this spot was the Shippingport Atomic Power Station, the oldest/first full-scale atomic electric power plant in existence (1957!). It's now the Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station.
