Yeah, I’m a train nerd so it really is an adventure. Unlike flying which is synonymous with heart palpitations.

I only traveled coach on my first train trip (cross-country bucket list trip in 2017)... overnight my first night from Pittsburgh to Chicago and then from Chicago to Kansas City. Trying to sleep in coach overnight was a small nightmare, so never again.

Now it's roomettes for any overnights and business class for day-only legs. I've become a train snob. Then again, I'm not commuting or anything like that. For me the train travel is part of the vacation itself.
Chyp, I can't believe you went to such effort for that one little joke.

Have you tried looking at houses instead?

And I will NEVER take the train to Boston EVER again. Sedai knows why.

Yeah, I normally do coach because business is too expensive, but it wasn't much more than what I paid last time. So I booked business class and got one of the conference tables.
All together now:

Who knows what tomorrow brings
In a world few hearts survive
All I know is the way I feel
When it's real, I keep it alive

The road is long
There are mountains in our way
But we climb a step every day

In a roomette where I belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
In a roomette where I belong
Far from the world below
Up where the clear winds blow

Some hang on to used to be
Live their lives looking behind
All we have is here and now
All our lives, out there to find

The road is long
There are mountains in our way
But we climb a step every day

In a roomette where I belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
In a roomette where I belong
Far from the world we know
Where the clear winds blow

Time goes by
No time to cry
Life's you and I
Alive today

In a roomette where I belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
In a roomette where I belong
Far from the world we know
Where the clear winds blow

In a roomette where I belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
In a roomette where I belong

Haven't been on Amtrak since before the pandemic, but once we actually book a vacation that sticks (ha ha), I'll be back on the rails, for sure. In a roomette where I belong!
No, no, no! Not DMX
