Just deleted like 90% of my Amazon wishlists. Maybe that'll stop me from buying shit.
I just want to own the ground under my feet. Maybe then I will have a better sense of security and attachment to the area.
And I don't want much: 1000 sqft at most.
Like the housing market is beautiful right now in our area, but I certainly can't afford anything. By the time I am able to buy a house it ain't going to be cheap. Gunna need to find me a dilapidated building out in the shticks. Raze it and rebuild.
My biggest worry is that one day I will be priced out of my own hometown, and I have to prepare for that eventuality now. I don't ever want to leave here. For anything in the world.

That is the plan. Well, in an ideal world it is the plan. Both fields are so heavily saturated that I don't feel it is wise to invest heavily in those areas. I feel I have a better handle on processing large amounts of information better and quicker than applying it, so maybe I just need to try my hand at consulting. I'll never stop being creative, but a dude gotta eat. Taco truck!

Yeah, in the grand scheme of things I am just now getting my sea legs, but the problem with aging is keeping that fire lit. I am happier now than I was ten years ago or rather the things I need to make myself happy are so simple that it just seems that way.

At least I believe in the work my job entails. Not nearly as soul crushing as my last job.

All food trucks should be operated randomly imo
funny you say that. I've caught myself fantasizing about owning and operating a food truck randomly for a few years now.
