I liken it to something that clings to you. In your bones, around your neck that you cant shake off. It doesnt happen to me a lot. Time is the only cure.

In fairness, meditation and things may work, but the practicality of a “hour of quiet” in normal life is unrealistic.
I understand where you're coming from. Though cranky isn't the word I'd use. I've dealt with it most of my life. I can handle it a lot better these days, time really does take you down a few notches. I've been horrible to the people in my life I truly care about and I'll never forgive myself for it. The second it hits me I constantly remind myself of that to keep me grounded.
I think its the truest sign we are living in a simulation. Theres an alien at a UI adjusting the temperament sliders.

Im conscious of when Im feeling a certain way and just try to dial back engagement. The reason being, things can escalate and once they get that far, its too late.

Kinda like, once a guy takes his shirt off, hes throwing a punch.

I definitely remember how college tampered my fire: Deleuze will do that to ya. The body without organs is a fickle beast.

I think Im pretty easy going compared to most of the people in my family. No sense in getting pissed if theres nothing you can do.

A lot of things piss me off, but they are all things I have zero control over so pfft. Pass the salt.
gah I butchered that reply. let's try again:
yeah. both my dad and my aunt (on my mom's side) had/have crazy short fuses. my grandma claims she used to have a temper, but that was well before I was born. i'm cursed.
Its genetic. Get it from my father. Greatest man alive, but some days....you know better.
