Agreed on both. Honestly, I think owning a car is one day going to be like owning a horse. Expensive and done by only a few.

And I love having a 6 spd. There is no greater feeling than being tuned into the workings of your transmission when driving. Now if I can just stop accidentally slipping into 3rd when I'm not paying attention and trying to hit 5th.
I've read more than one article stating that automatic transmissions have evolved enough that there is no great benefit to owning/driving a standard transmission anymore. Which is fine with me. I hated driving stick, especially starting out on a steep grade. I mean, I could do it... but I still hated it.
All I know is I ain’t never buying a new car ever again. Dealer certified preowned with ze cash discount. Muhahaha

So I’ll be able to buy a new car in another 36 years.
I just like ze control!

But I did break part of my foot a year ago and now shifting is kinda not fun anymore. Those few months in the boot were hysterical. I consider myself a pro for grinding only once. I was driving like an old man.
Or, I guess "not 4th" makes more sense given the lack of any safety feature on my old 240z.
or *kKrrTTcchhhhggrnnnn-gnnn-nnnnnn* CRAP! that's not 6th!
VROOOM!!!! Oh shit, that ain't 5th!

My little Accord LX 6-spd is a joy. Going up the mountains, dropping into 2nd and having my head put into the window. Love it.

All while maintaining a legal speed and appropriate distance from traffic, kids.

But that premium gas is steep. Should always go 4 cyl if you broke like me
Agreed. They said the 4 cyl is better for mountain roads, too. All I know is I love driving my FRS on all these winding roads around my hometown. I have gone barreling into some curves at speeds I ain’t never done before. Pucker up buttercup! You going for a ride with Mr. Hyde.
