I think it could be a lot worse, but I get what you mean.
Ah, sorry. Over time the highest-rated ones tend to be cleaner artwork that looks clear from a distance, and the originals are often meant to be viewed larger, since a lot of the text is unreadable. That's probably why.
The previous one is the classic cover/poster.

I like the earlier thumbnail more too. Gives off a creepier vibe.

The one for Braindead was changed too, no longer the cool zombie-in-mouth one.
Oh god, that's the worst...I think it came from some box set that was then split into the different movies as ultra cheap versions.

I hate those covers...such an eyesore.

Oh well everone knows I love Suspiria so I don't have to haveit on my favs.
It happens based on user ratings at TMDB (The Movie DataBase). Highest rated posters become the "default" poster.
