Wayyyyyy back when I joined MoFo, somewhere around 2003 or so, I was in the middle of reading Robert Jordan's [u]Wheel of Time[/u] book series. The Aes Sedai (Eyes Said-Eye) were the sort of magic user type characters in the books. 

In the late 90s and early 2000s, I was a huge fan of the books, and I used Sedai in many of my online communities, and in the case of the Boston rave scene, many people even called me Mike Sedai, thinking it was my last name![/quote]
