Fun Fact: Mike Myers was contractually obligated to do 'The Cat in the Hat' in 2003. He disagreed with the script and the direction the movie had, and he tried to get out of his contract. However, he was sued by Universal for $3.8 million, but he counter-sued, and an eventual settlement was reached where he agreed to star in the film.

Mike Myers apparently was terrible to work with, because he refused to talk to anyone on the production but the director Bo Welch and completely isolated himself from the cast and crew during breaks in the filming. It's also noted that the film ended up having long and pointless additional takes of scenes because Myers overruled Welch on whether they were good enough or not.

You could tell by the visual alone that he wanted to hang himself in a dark closet. What a miserable life that man has garnered; imagine 'The Cat in the Hat' being the hill you wanted to die on.

Brilliant
It's hard to keep movie review threads consistent; people naturally lose interest after a while. And they definitely aren't being forgetful out of malice.
