Hey, don't assume that Prime subscribers "expect to get stuff in 2 days." I don't. I like it a lot of the time, but I often opt for slower shipping so I can get items in fewer boxes and/or get $1 toward an e-book later. 

For now Amazon is convenient for us. I'm old enough to not have had this convenience for much of my adult life. So if things change and it's not sustainable, so be it. I'll adapt to whatever takes its place.[/quote]

I buy from a lot of other retailers. We also carry a yearly Walmart free-delivery subscription (a delivery of groceries and other items is due here in about five minutes), plus other sorts of deliveries. If Amazon becomes unsustainable, I'll adapt. And I almost always choose the slower option in Amazon and take that $1 digital credit for e-books and videos instead. 

I shop at Amazon for the prices and convenience, but the two-day shipping is not essential to us. We first started getting Prime as a subscription when it meant only the shipping perks, but now that it also includes other deals and video streaming and music streaming, well, we find it's worth the cost. The Walmart subscription is almost as much and doesn't have any real perks beyond free delivery of items (and not at two-day turnarounds, usually).[/quote]
