The Shoutbox
Another review I once read somewhere about Alien. I’m paraphrasing here, but it was basically this:

Dumb men refuse to listen to smart woman. Dumb men die. Smart woman survives with cute cat.
This reminds me of an old thread on Rotten Tomatoes about wildly misleading movie synopses.

My favourite was Lethal Weapon: man discovers he is too old for this shit.

Indeed. A guy gets off using an oxygen tank.

Very topical.
Another appropriate first sentence of a Wikipedia article. Just like The Big Sleep:...uh, will get back to you on that one.

Or better yet, just read the Wikipedia summary for the films and consider that to be enough.
Read the first sentence and call it a day.

Yes, you can! We believe in you!
I'll try the old 'watch two movies on two separate screens at the same time'. That should speed things up.

I’m surprised your area hasn’t. May I ask where you live?
Thankfully, we had one theater open up last year, which is 30 mins away, and in May Regal cinemas reopened, which is much closer. I’ve been taking advantage of that so far.
I'm in Ontario, Canada. The theaters closed early last year for Covid, briefly re-opened, and then closed again November and have been closed ever since. They are going to re-open during phase 3 of the reopening which should be next month.
