The Shoutbox
Speaking of sad, I watched The Horse Whisper last night. Totally forgot it had snot nosed Scarlett Johansson. When you’re reminded that someone has been an actor/actress since they were a child it totally explains their stupid behavior later in life.
As long as we're talking sad piano covers, this has to be the most audacious of them all...

i never said the original wasn’t banging. But it’s safe to say it’s a lot more upbeat.
Never said you said that, just a general comment on which version of the song seems to be more popular.

I like the analysis I heard once where the upbeat '80s poppiness of the original syncs up much better with the manic-depressive lyrics that are at once bouncy yet miserable ("the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had") that gets lost when you do a much more simplistic "sad" version.

Gotta maintain the brand.
Oh, now she’s yelled it 12 times.
Right now I’m laying in bed listening to my mom yelling into the phone at my gramps.
“Ask somebody there to help you!” x9 so far...nope x10.

I feel bad for her because that man has been a continual suck on her ever since we moved him out of his house.

Yeah Tears for Fears hold up really well. Still listen to their stuff.

I’m not crazy about that movie but it did get use that Mad World cover so it’s a-ok in my book.
