The VW’s kinda sit in a weird place for me. I feel like people are either leasing those or have BMW money and want to be frugal.

Never get the feel people look at those like, “I’m getting 200k miles worry free outta this”.
I just want something close to 40mpg with 3 pedals.
My dream of next car being electric, probably not gonna happen. My Accord just crested 100k, so the doubt may start creeping. Plus, I’m gonna be driving back and forth to VA a lot...

What I’m trying to say here, I can see talking myself into the new Civic when it comes out. Definitely don’t want to go smaller, but it 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻may be the only thing left with a manual (Manuel?).

It’s either that or a bare bones Subaru, which holds zero interest to me.
And I missed hearing the chirp of the rev light.
It was the TDI. Super practical commuter car. I had to shift like 60% less. And everything was mushy/quiet.
Must not have been the GTI...😕
But as soon as I got back in the FRS and drove off the lot I knew there’s no way I was switching to that Golf.
I always say stupid shit just to mess with car salesmen. My favorite one was when I said “This car won’t work because the steering wheel has radio control buttons on it.”

He was like “uhh”.
A decent 7 iron.
"What will it take to get you into this Golf today?"
I test drove that VW Golf today. Used car salesmen are a special type of breed.
