The Shoutbox
I think in most cases it's people finding a specific thread through Google and then just poking around a bit.

It does seem crazy, but it's pretty standard for forums. The percentage of visitors who register is very small, and the percentage of people who register and post is smaller, and the percentage who register and post a lot is smaller still. It's just this giant funnel.
Has anyone explained the "guest" stats here before?

It always strikes me that so many people would be perusing anonymously, instead of taking 2 minutes to make an account.

Yeah, my criteria would've been that most (if not all) of the movie takes place during the Christmas period and explicitly acknowledges Christmas itself through the appropriate signifiers to one extent or another.

Definitely bummed about this. Buzzcocks are great. I even got to see them twice. Been wearing my shirt all day in memoriam.

Watching Die Hard and Die Hard 2 at Christmas time was a tradition in my house when I was a kid.

I worked out a lot of my issues this past year, but I'm still a work in progress.

Lethal Weapon. Is. Not a Christmas movie!

Man, you think there was conflict about the horror movie countdown about what constitutes horror or not. Imagine if there was a Christmas movie countdown.
Nah, it would be simpler by virtue of the Christmas period being an objectively-determined criteria rather than the sheer subjectivity of what one person or another would think counts as horror. Hell, I saw someone on Twitter argue that Prometheus is a Christmas movie because it takes place in mid-December and Idris Elba's character is seen setting up a Christmas tree onboard the ship so it's not as strict a criteria as you'd think.

I thought it was pretty funny when it first came out (almost entirely because of Bill Nighy) but I like it less and less with each passing year. Even catching fragments of it on TV the other night did it no favours.
