$10 for a box of cereal? I’ll take 4!
Turned on the sound conditioner and like 75% of the road noise melts away. Time to crash.
I’m moved. Hunter is taking the move badly, but he could be worse.

Me too. What are some of your favourites?
I like classic movies.
Halfway through searching for a Carnivale gif when you realize it’s going to lead to a jiggly lady with a headdress.

Sometimes slow internet is a blessing.
My spidey-sense is tingling. Anybody in the mood for an absinthe?
yeah that was real strange and inappropriate. Oh well.

I don't think it got the audience it needed at the time to continue forward. Unsure of how costly the show was (it didn't have a lot of special effects, after all), but for some reason HBO pulled the plug. AT THE WORST MOMENT POSSIBLE.

They did similar things with Deadwood and Rome, IMHO, although not as badly. And there was enough clamor over the milquetoast ending to Deadwood after season 3 that they did finally make a wrap-up movie in 2019. And the movie did a good job of satisfying a lot of the qualms I had about how the series ended in 2006. Thirteen years later, I could let it go.

I rewatch so many HBO series time and again, including these (especially Deadwood). Sticking the landing in a series finale is so vital.

Oh man, I forgot to commemorate my 20,000th post on MoFo.

I forgot one last bit of trivia for Pan's Labyrinth...

About 15 minutes in, Vidal smashes a guy's face in with a bottle... this is based on something Del Toro saw when he was a teenager.
He saw a bar fight, where one guy did exactly what Vidal does. In the commentary, he explains his shock not at the act... but at the fact the victim didn't struggle, and the bottle didn't break.

Sorry to go back to the previous movie reveal, but I'm sitting watching Pan's Labyrinth right now and got reminded
Not bad I guess.
20k, talking about smashing faces in with bottles.
