Hey, I paid good money to learn how to speak gibberish. Ya gotta give me one of these shouts every 5 years. Seems fair at this point.
I hope they juice the baseballs again for the second half of the season. Batting averages are just terrible this year. Put Superballs in them things! Let's see how far these roidedout juicers can really launch these things

I was down with the MCU until it got codified and subsumed by the body without organs.
I gotta admit tho... it's a brilliant business model. Put out bad content then double down and tell fans that there is something wrong with YOU if you don't enjoy less than mediocre content.
As soon as Disney bought Marvel that was pretty much it. Disney has been making the same movie and the same story since the 50's. And nowadays they've gotten lazy. They are just making content. And if you don't like their content you are a racist. I mean... you can't make this stuff up.
I'll revisit the first Iron Man, Guardians, Ant Man, and maybe the first Avengers. MAYBE Thor: Ragnarok too, now that I think about it, just for the humor.

Outside of that, I'm not sure I have the patience to try again. I enjoyed most of them the first time around, and would probably again, in time. But that's going to be a long while before I want to reinvest time beyond just something to throw on while I do other things. End Game wore me out.

I admit I enjoyed Loki well enough. Hawkeye was pretty fun. Never finished WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is just to long of a title to even start!

I'm not complaining btw. Every movie experience mostly entertained. especially for the few earlier entries I watched with a group of friends. I am ready to move on though.

I struggle to see how these movies will have that much longevity, outside a handful of the earlier ones. It's not like James Bond or the Universal monster movies (the ones from the '30s, not the "Dark Universe" lol) where someone going into them new can just pick and choose the better regarded ones. You basically have to commit to watching them all (including the series, although I dipped before that point), including the ones that are not so hot, or risk not understanding what the heck is going on past a certain point.
Although at that point, I suppose they can pull a Crisis on Infinite Earths style reboot, or whatever the Marvel equivalent is.

This is a very reasonable take. I think I've seen all of them (at least eventually, I wait for the VOD now, invariably) anyway, but that's clearly the big, glowing line where it all became much less worthwhile.

There've been a few exceptions. The couple of films dabbling in multiverse stuff have been pretty bold and plenty fun. But I can't pretend that's the norm. They now hit a level of quality every fourth film they they used to hit three out of four times.
