How about Godard’s Histoire(s) du cinéma? It was released as episodes over an 8 year period.
And of course, we have older serials released in episodic format.
whoa, whoa, whoa! You're making too much sense, think about Minio's poor defenseless imaginary straw man

Can you name even *one* cinephile who does this?

i think this is more likely. they did a great job capturing the time frame. even ugly people were attractive back then

There's a tiny overlap, sure, but it's very clear that something like Bold and Beautiful or Prison Break or BoJack Horseman is not a movie. I have nothing against people talking about TV series on a film forum and nothing against film buffs watching TV series. But it rubs me the wrong way when I see somebody making a list of their top 100 films and putting multi-season TV series there. I'm also annoyed that when I say I'm a cinephile, some normies would start talking about TV series they just watched. I'm into cinema, not TV series! I'm a cinephile, not a telephile. You can be both, or either or neither, but this isn't the same thing. Not everything you watch is a film. YouTube videos aren't films either.

(This is just a general rant. I'm not saying anybody's doing that here.)
These things are very different and I’d never include TV shows in a film list. I like long novels (not because they’re long, but they tend to work better for me. One of my all-time favourite is Dos Passos’ U.S.A. trilogy). I feel kind of similarly about TV shows — I like that they take their time and can delve into the psychology of decision making more than films usually do. But I also think I like TV shows and films equally, no strong preference. Anyway, my issue with BoJack really wasn’t that it’s a show, it was just a kind of art that for whatever reason doesn’t work for me at this time.

YouTube videos are an abomination. And **** TikTok, serves it right for frying teenage brains.
nothing to see here, folks.
