The Shoutbox
I would roll that magic loss back to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, myself.
I've seen all of Tim Burton's films and most of his shorts, and the TV episodes he directed, except Planet of the Apes (which I'll watch at some point).
My favorites were probably Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride and Big Fish. And Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
Ever since 2010's Alice in Wonderland (I saw it in the cinema and it was a huge disappointment), his movies have really lost their original magic.

Well, I guess. But Ron Weasley is a pretty good guy, I think, so it's not like she just hooked up with a prick. But I totally understand unrequited love.
That avatar. Story checks out.

I confess I have yet to see that one.
Big Eyes (2014) is a good and different type of film from Tim Burton.
I am partial to Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands, and Ed Wood. Big Fish is also excellent. I enjoy those mostly for the art direction, as I think Burton is a much better art guy than a director. His best directed film is probably Ed Wood.
Mars Attacks.
What is the best Tim Burton movie?
