The Shoutbox
Different format but... The Ren And Stimpy Show rocks.

Big Bang had a live audience... I think they use applaud cards though... which is the same as canned laughter.

I liked the first two seasons of BB but as I said, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 27, 83 seasons of exactly the same just gets tiring.
But wait!! I like Spaced!!! That show was pretty damn funny.

I don't care for sitcoms....I like crime dramas.
Frasier is the best sitcom. Scientists proved this with science.
Parks and Recreation takes a bit of time to get going.

I think a lot of people still use "sitcom" to mean "single-camera sitcom with a laugh track and three-fourths of a living room." Technically, 30 Rock is a sitcom, though the term is a lot less likely to be used to describe shows like that. By the broader, technical definition I think there are lots of great sitcoms. But by the old throwback standards, yeah, not so much.
It's not just you, Seds. I don't find any sitcoms funny anymore, either. Not even the ones my kids recommend (Parks & Rec, etc.). I did like Arrested Development and some others on premium channels, but nothing on regular "broadcast" TV in a long, long time.
The Big Bang Theory was cool. Gotten a bit old these days though, it's just more of the same every episode.
Sheldon's OCD and misunderstanding of social situations, Leonard and Penny having trouble or Leonard's neurosis over Penny, Raj can't find a missus or speak or women, Howard being a perve and getting picked on.
That's because sitcoms are lame, man! I don't find any of them funny...not a single one!

Then again, I am a curmudgeon.
Viva have been showing reruns of "That 70s Show"...

Not a fraction near as funny as I remember.
Don't think I've even smiled once let alone laughed during any of the shows.
