The Shoutbox
So today I overheard one of my coworkers talking about an open source video conferencing app with higher quality audio and encryption. Where you run your own servers. Y’all, I think I just found my platform for distribution.
Hey, Seds! A whole list of end-of-the-world movies for you and your lovely bride.

Yeah, the items I have ordered didn't have long wait times, and they have come in faster than originally stated.

There are plenty of items that I am looking at that have the late arrival dates, tho.

I've ordered stuff on Amazon as I usually do, although I did do another Pantry order yesterday. (Haven't done one for a while.) Every order I've placed over the past week started out saying it would be delivered April 26, including the Pantry items. (I have no idea what's so special about April 26.)

I've ordered everything from books to a webcam to clothing to toys.

And suddenly, in the past 24 to 36 hours, I'm getting update notices on a lot of those orders, moving things up much earlier ... some as early as later this week.

So my guess is that they're throwing out long target dates just to be on the safe side, but are now hitting their stride and are able to get even non-essential items out in a more timely fashion. Yay!

So I placed an order for another balaclava from Amazon on Sunday, and it is already out for delivery. They have really ramped up their speed on essential items.
I didn’t like people touching me before the pandemic, and I certainly don’t like it now.
Exactly!
And with the lack of toilet paper, those three seashells might come in handy, too.

Have you subjected the wife to the movie Contagion yet?
Not yet! Also: Outbreak!
Contagion is really eerie to watch these days. They even use the term "social distancing." I watched it back in 2011 and it was a little creepy. NOW it is downright nerve-wracking.
Didn't get to watch any plague flicks last night. Wife instead wanted to watch Demolition Man, which is creepy in its own way. That goofy society mirrors today's society in a lot of ways, especially now with the no touching each other allowed stuff...
