i hit a tree in my late teens drive too fast on a ack county 2-lane. topping a hill on an unfamiliar road, i assumed the roadway veered left as i could see that path on the other side of the hill. unfortunately, the road actually forked both left and right just on the opposite downslope of the hill. i did not see that until topping it, but by then i was on a patch of gravel. turning the wheel too sharply, i lost traction on my tires and spun out, going off-road, downhill, into a forest. about four trees deep, i accidentally caught a small 4" truck with my wheel, as the front wheels were angled pretty hard left at the time. the tree wedged itself into the exposed joint and i came to an abrupt stop. I had to hitchhike to a payphone to call for help. 

that was trippy and scary. i will say it took a long time to not have micro panic attacks whenever i topped a hill, whether i was driver or passenger.

i am glad that you are relatively safe, it seems. spooked, clearly. it will ease. just takes time and practice. as others have commented, post up or PM if you need a collective shoulder to lean into. ultimately though, you should remind yourself that you are safe. and that you're posting on MOFO, of course ;)[/quote]

I feel okay but I was so scared there are no words for it. It was horrendous and I could literally see my office door, which made it that bit darker. It’s been exactly 12 hours and I’m still shaking. I’ll PM, thank you. :) going to watch ‘Broker’ in 15 and hopefully check out a little.[/quote]
