I mean, it was the only American made car in the world’s top 3 oldest car brands, and now we have no claim to such fame. How do you kill a rich history like that?!

Pontiacs were their line of sports cars.. they were the highest priced cars other than Buicks. Original price of a 1968 Firebird in 1968 was $2,887. If you have a "Concours" (mint) one now days,, its worth about $38,000. I wish I had $38,000 now to buy one
Olds was the brand of firsts: the assembly line, the speedometer, the monobloc V8, and the automatic transmission. They even made the first windshield HUD and were the first FWD stock car to win on Pike’s Peak.

That’s a lot of history in one shout

My dad worked for GM... we only had american made cars... my brothers drove Rivieras, Chevelles and Novas.

If someone gave you an old firebird, would you take it? Something along the line of 68 or 69?

I used to **** on imports. Now they are the best thing since sliced bread.
I know that Gran Turismo did a lot for japanese motors within my generation. It was hard to find much about those cars, but then all of a sudden you had them and could drive them
Cadillac is just an up-branded Chevy with gadgets. We had an XTS that Webster's defined as underwhelming.

The Impala looks better for cheaper.
I couldn't understand why America never stepped up their game. I don't know if Tesla will be around long enough to make it past their growing pains.

I just like cars without panel gaps
All the best cars came from Lansing.
Bring back dat Detroit metal, baby!
