It's really excellent. I already knew about most major details before watching it (though, it's basically impossible to go into it with fresh eyes at this point), but it does a fantastic job at shifting audience expectations around. I'll post my write-up in General Movie Discussion in a couple days. I may or may not be able to finish it before October ends, but oh well. Glad to finally have it under my belt.

The Pete Davidson stuff is weird. He's this big star, or people talk about him a lot, he's got buzz...and they never write for him.

Makes no sense. He's on the show, but not really.
He’s only famous for dating Ariana Grande. They probably have him on less due to him messing up that really good Adam Driver sketch
Still pretty sure that's not Penny's boat out there.

=/
Eh, he does Weekend Update and standalone short stuff. By all accounts he's kind of a pain, he got in trouble for saying some stuff, too.

The celebrity stuff is overwhelming the writing, though, for sure, both with him and a lot of the guest stars.

Give the bill to Bill he's got lots of bills.
I don't have an answer for that, bill.
I also kinda blame the overload of celebrity cameos and political sketches, I mean it's ok at first but then it begins to get on your nerves.

The Sam Adams bit was the only one that worked, but I don’t really count the pre-produced segments.
