I've managed to avoid flying to several destinations in the past year because I took the train instead. Of course, if I'm going somewhere with hubby, that means I have to leave a day earlier than he does (since he flies), but hey, it's worth it! :D[/quote]

[font=century Gothic]I can't say I enjoyed it. Especially the boarding and seating. I'm average height and narrow and it was pretty uncomfortable. Plus, I overpacked and the carry-on abuses are criminal.

To be fair, I upgrade and always get a private roomette when I can (so I don't have to sleep in a coach seat). Or I go business class if there aren't any roomettes (day trips). That helps!
