Haven't seen that many of these movies so I couldn't tell you how different it is from the others, though I suppose seeing a conflict of this type realised through a nine-figure Hollywood production is novelty enough. Still beats the hell out of Emmerich's movie, at least.
We up to about 50 of those things? Hard to imagine they gonna cover any new ground
I was going to see it but then I saw all the reviews and took a hard pass.

Bold colors is the best term I can use for Deadman's movie.
