Just got back from Subway. Bunch of teenagers and 20 year olds playing grab ass. What is wrong with this generation?
Granted, I graduated with a measly 2.7 GPA. But I'm happy with that considering I had 2 Ds and only 3 years of weighted credits. My transfer credits did not count.
I grew up in that 7 point grading system, so college threw me for a loop when I kept getting Bs instead of Cs.

I had plenty Cs, but I also did ask for algebra resits to get an A+ instead of A. I do agree that this grading shit is deeply unhealthy. My household was the type where, having gone through a pretty corrupt education system themselves, they genuinely believed A to be a default grade. Butttt… I disappointed them there.

It's like what I've always said about George Lucas and his need to tweak Star Wars over and over. These guys were the ones in school asking for retests because they got an A minus.

"Ms. Renolds, can we have a retest? I only got a 94."
I think that's right. I think a lot of the best of the best in all sorts of professions (athletes being a notable example) are probably perpetually unhappy and probably exhibit traits that would be unacceptable in society except for their level of success.
Honestly, I feel like at that level of dedication a person is bound to be nuts. Sane people don’t push boundaries that far.
Have to agree re: Cruise. Very good actor, very dedicated, fun to watch. Maybe the dedication is inseparable from all the, eh, wacky stuff.
Now that I've finished fanning over Cruise I am going to go take a shower or jump in a lake. Gotta wash up
Ditto. He's also one of those actors that makes the costars around him better because he pushes them in ways others wouldn't. He clearly loves improving the craft for himself and others.
