I put a vitamin in my peanuts today, which was meant to be taken out and swallowed whole.

Well, Randy decided to forget about that vitamin and threw it back with the peanuts it was in and chewed it up.

🤢🤮

But they probably have A/C and could get you that glipizide. Keep your options open.
You could buy some bags of ice and a fan. Low tech is the best tech.
It’s glipizide. I have enough for a few days but I may have to do something if this BS doesn’t get sorted out by Monday.

I’ve looked into getting a window unit (which I’d have to rig something for because I have windows that slide across rather than up and down) and portable AC units but all of the brick and mortar stores are sold out and online orders are gonna take like 10 days to get here.

I’d really like to go on a murderous rampage right now and plead insanity but on the other hand gettin thrown in prison during a pandemic sounds like a really bad idea.

Yikes, no A/C this month? I should have been praying for your sanity! Seriously, the best thing we ever did with this old house was to install central air in 2018. Now I can work and sleep without being constantly aware of my own sweat.
We have central air, but the unit decided to quit working right as we hit record high temperatures (like 110 degrees). Had the air conditioner guys out to fix it but they said it needs to be replaced and they don’t know how soon they can get a new unit because the manufacturers didn’t make as many as usual due to Covid and once they do get it, who knows how long it’ll be before it’s installed because they’re booked out for days and so are all the other a/c guys around here. Been a week without air conditioning. It ‘s gotten as high as 92 degrees inside. The health insurance thing is the more pressing matter, besides cancelling my insular pan ever in the middle of a PANDEMIC (I want to say a big F*** YOU to Covered California, or NOT COVERED California as is my current situation) because I’m a diabetic and almost out of my one of my medications and I can’t get it refilled because despite multiple calls and requests for escalations from me and my employer over the past week, they’ve haven’t done anything about it. I haven’t been at work since I found out about the cancellation either, because I sure as hell am not working without insurance right now.
YIKES.

I'm also diabetic. Was your med a common one? Those are often very cheap anyway (or around here, sometimes free!). Might want to check that out in the meantime.

We've been blessed with really good health insurance through my husband's job, and I can't complain about it (but I would if something went wrong!!).

Between that issue and your A/C, I'm relieved you haven't killed anyone yet. I'd totally be in jail for SOMETHING by now if our A/C hadn't been working this month. I wouldn't want to go back to the window A/C units we used to use (spotty cool air, most of the house still sweltering), but I'd do it in a heartbeat for either the bedroom or my home office if the central air kicked out on us.

Hoping for cooler temps soon wherever you are!!
Insurance plan, not insular pan and I’m not sure where that ever came from. Man I suck at typing on this iPad.
