I eat a lot of peanuts, just not wet peanuts 🤢
Our dining services being closed off to staff has wrecked my diet. My whole system is off-kilter.
No joke, them Virginia peanuts are pretty huge.
"Virginia Peanuts are one of 4 types of peanuts grown in the U.S. - primarily in Virginia and the Carolinas - and are the largest kernel size of all."
Yeah, boiled peanuts are a Virginia staple. People swap those cans year round like fruit cake at Christmas time. Birthday? Boiled peanuts. Anniversary? Boiled peanuts. Passed a kidney stone? Boiled peanuts.
Ever so sorry but you lost me at no shells
Where's DD and John to back me up here....?
well, I highly recommend trying some. Find some fresh, dry (not cooked, but completely raw) in-shell peanuts, wash them as best you can, then boil them up in a stock pot full of salty water (the saltier the better) for 6 hours or ever how long it takes for the nut to be as soft as a cooked kidney bean. Don't eat the shell. I don't know what you fer'ners are allowed to eat over there, but these are pretty common here for football game watching and the sort.
Mmmmm iderno, do you need to ship me one??
Do I need to ship you a can of boiled peanuts?
Prefer mine marinated in goose fat and chilli flakes for 72 hours and then barbequed truth be told. Oh, gotta be kept in the shells too - stops 'em going soggy (as well as adding a nice bit of crunch/texture).
