That would have been so cool to experience.
They did a really cool transition between the acts. NIN played first, and near the end of their show, the band members slowly started to switch. I believe the first to leave was the bass player, at which point Bowie's bass player emerged and joined the song currently in progress. Then the drummers switched etc., finally, Bowie showed up, and they did a song with both Bowie and Trent sharing vocal duties, and then Trent left the stage and Bowie did his show. No intermission.

Wow. How did the audience react to Bowie? I guess the show must have been fairly balanced between Bowie fans and NIN fans. I got to see NIN around 2012 or so and the crowd was so cruel to the opening band. And they were pretty good. I wish I could remember their name.

90s had a different attitude though. Maybe more open to different sounds. Or just this crowd was full of narrow minded prices.
