In this case CiCi was, I believe, a LOT earlier than most of the others near the top, so her win is the fairest this time. If we had a few people tied and one of them just submitted an hour before the other, obviously that's not as meaningful.
They do that for lots of pools, yeah. I'm not necessarily against it, it's more fun. That said, the earliest ballot thing does help counteract the fact that the odds shift a lot and make a pretty good ballot basically "free" to people who want it most years.
I did manage to see most of the Best Picture noms, but not all of them!
"Price is Right" rules apply: closest without going over wins.
For future years you should have a tie-breaking question. How many minutes over three hours will the Oscars telecast run?
