The idea of "benefit placing" didn't come up in my mind, I just want my choices to feel as honest to myself as possible.

Though one of the higher picks actually happens to be an obscure movie, so we'll see how that goes (Spoiler: Probably not well).
Yeah, that part's pretty tough. Also the pull towards rewarding a film with a chance at placing highly, against the knowledge that the lesser-known film "needs" your support. And how impossible it is to truly parse that out and try to ignore them both.
The most harrowing thing about making a top list is that sometimes you can "feel" like you love a movie more at the moment even though you've rated another one higher.

people would actually start getting drawn to its kewlness if it were named "freddy kruger, michael myers" etc., i guess the comic book/D&D crowd is going to like it being called omicron. I say it should be named The Zerg.
