Cast Away.

Much more deserving than Crowe in Gladiator.
It was either him or Rush again. Or Harris for Pollack.

But Hanks' performance in Cast Away was stunning.
I have seen To Kill a Mockingbirdp but his part, while utterly superb, is pale in comparison to the basically never-leaving-the-screen performance of O'toole...
Hanks for what??
At least 1996-1999 Actor's wise was pretty spot on.

Geoffery Rush
Jack Nicholson
Roberto Beningi
Kevin Spacey

Then it should have gone:

Tom Hanks
Russel Crowe

But instead...
Wel, we know who won and who lost...
Peck was outstanding in To Kill a Mockingbird have you seen it
better than both The Sound of Music & Dr. Zvihago
And Gregory Peck won Best Actor over Peter O'Toole in 1962!! What was the Academy smoking?!
both rock and deserve tons of the awards they got as for that year The Pawnbroker I think is better than both
A Run Lola Run one.
What?! That's a travesty!!
Although I did enjoy The Sound of Music...

Meanwhile, I think John Ford was the most Awarded Director in history. He has heaps in the early years...

And Frank Capra.
