The Shoutbox
Ever since I hit a Royal on a 25c machine in Vegas one time when going to get morning coffees I've never minded going out for them. Those were certainly the cheapest coffees I ever bought
I never thought to call for room service coffee. Even then, rationalizing $30 for morning joe with “vacation money” would have soured the taste.

The second hotel was next level hipster and they would have probably told me I should quit caffeine.

Nah. These are places that *had* coffee makers in the rooms... until the pandemic. I've noticed that most still haven't put them back, despite all of us no longer wiping down our groceries and our mail with bleach.
That’s so weird because every hotel I’ve stayed at since the pandemic started has had a coffee maker in the room.
Leonardo DiCaprio is hunky

I'm starting to enjoy that btw.
s'nah-bee-blay.
But staying in nice hotels is probably why I’ll stay poor my whole life. Totally worth it

I’ve got my credit card bill on line one for you.
In my defense, I will admit that I’m a hotel snob and stay in hotels above my social class. I rarely travel, but when I do I like to take a vacation from my life. Plus, I like the amenities and find the experience creates better memories. And I have crippling social anxiety, so I spend a lot more time in the room and lobby than most people do on vacation so it helps that the staff is typically nicer.

Remember, I used to work in a hotel so all the magic is gone. And I have a better handle on the tricks/social engineering that works in higher scale hotels.
