Boo-yaa! I'm able, apparently, to downgrade the firmware!

The guy selling the remote is also linking me to some homebrew shenanigans so I've gone ahead and bought it. I'll either end up with a region-free upscaling DVD player for a tenner or a brick.
I hated eggs as a little boy, but in Thailand, they had some kind of pepper, and the girl I was traveling with got full so quickly, I only ate them because I can't stand to see food being thrown away, and it was really good (with rice)

Dammit. The cheap Sony Blu Ray player I bought at Christmas for the bedroom can be made region-free after buying a £10 service remote to reprogram it ..... unless you've updated the firmware.

I've updated the firmware.
