Oh God, back day. I will feel it with every door I open.
"Sometimes science is a little more art than science, Morty."
Whatever.
My first thought as well Iro, that's why it took me a while to even try and watch the show. I find myself unintentionally comparing this show to Futurama more than anything though. I actually think I enjoy Rick and Morty's version of space more right now though.
It's also easy to be skeptical if you've already seen a lot of similar works of entertainment to the point where your expectations are naturally heightened.
I love it since the moment I saw it on a couch gap of The Simpsons. Now what others think don't really matter to me (well maybe a little bit, if people don't like there won't be any more seasons )

I'm torturing myselft with the trailer of X-men, I want it to be saturday
I managed to catch season one on Netflix recently and, while it's not terrible or anything, the hype is perhaps too strong. I don't even get that many laughs out of it, though I do appreciate the relatively creative takes on overly familiar sci-fi/animation tropes and concepts. I'd give it a
so far, I guess.
Indeed, I agree with season two being better than season one. The characters had really started to fill out, and the plots although zany seemed to tie in together for a more cohesive look at the family.

I also think it's pretty damn funny when Rick takes Summer out as well, I really took a liking to her and Jerry in the second season.
Rick and Morty's good. I think people go a little overboard for it sometimes, but that might be because as much as I enjoy it I find its occasional ventures into nihilism silly rather than poignant.

I thought season two was a lot better than season one. I think literally every episode had some brilliantly high (in both senses of the word) concept.
