How did I forget about the Expanse?!
HBO's Rome might be a contender for me. Two seasons, great story, mostly great acting, and the story actually CONCLUDES at a reasonable point without leaving fans on a cliffhanger to later cancel the series altogether.

Lisa and I are watching Breaking Bad again, mostly due to Saul wrapping up in the next couple weeks. I think Saul edges it for me just slightly, if only because of the Skylar factor. Wexler > Skylar by a long shot. BB is still amazing, though!
Lost is still a top favorite of mine, also.
I need to re-watch BSG again to see how it holds up against The Expanse, which I tend think is a bit better overall, but perhaps that is because I have seen it more recently. Final season of BSG is decidedly weaker IMO.
Rounding out the Top 5 would be The Wire and The X-Flies. The Rockford Files, which we are still working through, gets honorable mention...

I spent years begging friends to just "make it through" the miniseries to get to the first episode, "33." That if they're not hooked by the end of that, then they probably won't ever be. But they HAD to watch the miniseries to know wtf was going on at all.
This may still be in my top 5 series titles. I'd have to revisit it though. Lost and Breaking Bad are both in that list, no question.
