Depends, I have used it to compare views on different media (different newspapers, then print newspapers vs online news), also to get an idea of sentiment about black cabs vs Ubers back when I was working for an automotive client, an Uber competitor, and a Formula 1 client (that was separate) back when Uber got banned in London.

But I like the old-school idea of reddit, if not the reality, so I quite often ask questions for myself about “life”, as it were. Someone went back through my posts, saw a long detailed post about cars and concluded that I was a man and therefore a troll, given my new post from this weekend mentioned I was a woman.
