Well, hubby is an electrical engineer, and if we ever built a new house (ain't gonna happen, but a girl can dream, I'm sure), I KNOW he'd mega-wire EVERYTHING. The only reason we don't have an ethernet jack in the BATHROOM is because I finally had to stop him.

And yes, he ran extra of EVERYTHING through these walls once he found an open spot: extra phone wires, ethernet duplicates everywhere, coaxial cable, etc. He wasn't going to go through that twice.
I know, I'm just saying if you ever move out and build a new house. My dad and I ran CAT5 to both my room and his on the outside of the house. It was so easy.
Well, duh. But our house was built before, like, electricity.
That's why if you ever build a house, have them put PVC pipe up through the house to each room. Then you can run CAT5, cable, telephone, and just about anything else that comes out in the future.
Hubby put CAT5 cables throughout our 100-yr-old+ house, and wow, that was NOT fun. Even though he knows the house (third generation living here), finding spots in the walls for the cables was, well, an adventure.
Ah. I'd have that puppy hooked up through CAT5 and have it everywhere in the house.
Not to stream everywhere. It stays connected to the main TV it is used for, and then can wireless stream files to any other room of the house from there, should it be needed.

Plus since it is a Shuttle, I can just take it anywhere I want.
Letters From Iwo Jima is getting decent buzz. It appears to be the better of the two Eastwood war flicks.
I installed Opera last night to see if I could get snowflakes and that's a positive. But I love Firefox too much and I will not forsake her!!
Then stop grumbling about it, start something more esoteric and see how it flies.
God, I hate the endless "what's your favourite.....?" threads in the General forum.
