just got back from clone wars and was very disappointed george lucas is gonna ruin his legacy!
Speed walking has got to be one of the goofiest events I've ever seen.
Right up there with Badminton, I do find it rather enjoyable however when they repeatedly mention the shuttlecock. It's fun to say, try it.
As I recall when I was a child of about 6 or 7 we called it a "birdie" and yet these people, these so-called "commentators keep shouting the word Shuttlecock!

If walking is an Olympic sport then it's only fair that they should include some things that the Irish are good at, such as drinking. Just think:

After a (bar) steward's enquiry, however, it turns out that those dastardly Russkie sorts have been watering their drinks. Justice is done and the gold stomach pump is awarded to the rightful winner!
