The Shoutbox
Poor Things has a realistic shot at winning 4 Oscars, or could get shut out completely. I predict it will win 1 Oscar for production design.
I know Everything Everywhere won Best Picture, but that one is almost normal compared to the bizarre nature of Poor Things
Poor Things I'm not too sure of either.
Strikes me as a bit too "weird" for an Oscar favorite.
I think 9 of the 10 best picture noms will win at least 1 Oscar. Past Lives is the only one that I think will go home empty handed.
I'm confident in most of my picks, but there are a few categories that feel like a toss up. The shorts are tricky, animated feature can go either way, visual effects feels open, production design and costumes seem like a close call.
First time I'm relatively sure of my picks. Though I wouldn't be surprised if I failed on some of the Short categories.

I've listened to it a few times. I agree Thief is wonderful in it. There's a new Oscar themed one that was just uploaded today.

She'd make such a fabulous babysitter.

Agreed. What a weird, fun, quirky movie that is. I went into it with no expectations and knew nothing about it, so it was great fun. That line made me laugh out loud.
