35% of songs I look for don't exist on Spotify.. especially the underground mixtapes from the early 2000's.. Of Course nothing beats the Winamp days, but those days are gone sadly..
I have learned so much about YouTube this morning....
hey man, the pyramid ain't gonna build itself
Ya'll acting like you get a commission for talking people out of this.
YouTube Music is the only reason their service is so damned expensive. that junk needs to be forked into its own package.
i can assure you, based on how much they nag users, most people are not paying.
It's 2024 and people are still paying for things like YouTube Music?
as for ads, i just turn the follow all the way down and close my eyes. i'd like to see Google try and ban that workaround!

How else can you explain the cost difference, other than having to buy the phone.
security isn't the issue for that cost difference. it's priority routing (i.e. when a disaster or terrorism hits your service is gonna be the first one cut off to prioritize the main branch of users). but if that is happening you've got way bigger problems.

Being able to fire up any video and have it play immediately with no ads is really, really nice.
I can see that. YT on a tv is a nightmare. Mobile is easier to implement some of the workarounds, i.e. reloading a page to kill the ad.
