Wait, Ricky Martin is in that? I've watched a handful of episodes and didn't pick up on this.

Must rectify that...

I never thought it was pretending to be deep. I'd say it aimed for funny with a side of poignant or heartwarming.

And frankly, it usually succeeded for me.

Then again, I'm way older than you, have kids, and have been divorced, so perhaps the heartstrings were a little easier to pluck in my case.

FWIW I thought Ted Lasso was very mediocre for the first few episodes and it got a lot better. S1 and S2 are very good. S3 is okay.
Agreed. I enjoyed this show way more than I would have expected (it's definitely not my usual fare), and I'm glad I stuck with it and binged the whole series.

I have a few friends who love their YouTube TV subscriptions. We haven't hit that stage yet, but I have definitely enjoyed watching a TON of old SCTV sketches and episodes on YouTube in the past few weeks.

At least you're saving ELO for later, so you won't be disappointed by QotSA!

that's just guilt messing with you, there.
Guilt?? **I** didn't cancel your precious TV show, mister! (I just agreed with them.)

Exactly this.

And of course that panic-stricken moment when you first get here and glance at the main page and worry that the site got hacked.

The majority of the time I order online and use the personal shopper option. It's just those quick (yeah right) pop-ins for a few items that are needed for meals and whatnot which turn into a soul sucking experience like John said. They didn't have that available yet during COVID and that was a freaking steeplechase. I covered twice the distance I should have just avoiding people.
UGH. For those quick "I forgot things" trips, I use the neighborhood grocery store about a half mile away. I like supporting them anyway, and they're usually not overly crowded (and often have more checkout lanes open than the Walmart ).
