I had (and still have) a huge man-crush on Hugh Laurie so I never missed an episode of House. My niece was also hooked and whenever we watched an episode together we'd wait till the closing credits and that animation where the guy says, "That's some bad hat Harry." We'd try and beat each other to be the first to say it. We never knew where that came from until one day we were watching Jaws and Chief Brody says it. We looked at each other slack jawed.
I still watch for anything with Hugh Laurie in it. Street Kings, Veep, Tomorrowland. I even watched Avenue 5.

Speaking of addicts: Thanks for mentioning Lost in the 3 Body Problem thread, McClane!
My wife and I are now almost done with season one (again).

I’ve never seen a single film or show where this experience of the utter ****ing shock of suddenly being healthy as an adult just as you’ve adapted to being unwell is portrayed in such detail and so similarly to my personal experience. So yes, my perception is obviously a little skewed, but I adore his character, I think he is amasing and has guts. In terms of toxic workplace culture — that’s fair, but what can I say. Us former sick people can be very very toxic and I love that it’s so accurate and unapologetic about that.
